Glenfield United Weekly Review - 28/10/2012

There was 12:30 game at Gynsill Lane this weekend, so just the two games to report on for this weeks review.

Glenfield United Under 12's 9v9 were in action on Sunday morning at Ellis Park as they took on league leaders Coalville Town.

The first half remained goalless, with the best chances of the half falling to the visitors. On 20 minutes Coalville had a goal ruled out for offside and five minutes later, the visitors should have broken the deadlock.

Good work from number four down the left wing saw him get to the byline before crossing along the floor where an unmarked number 11 hit the ball first time from six yards but shot straight at the Glenfield 'keeper.

The second half did see a breakthrough though as Coalville's number five scored after 34 minutes. A pass across the box was pounced upon by the striker who had a tap in from a couple of yards.

United kept pushing for an equaliser, but it was Coalville who got the decisive second goal. Number ten received the ball from a Glenfield goal kick before striking the ball with the inside of his right foot into the bottom right corner.

It was a fine finish and put the game out of Glenfield's reach. The result also meant only a second home defeat for United in two years. Coalville remain joint top of the Under 12's Division Three table, while Glenfield are fifth in the table with seven points from five games.

Glenfield United 2010 Under 14's were the second and final game of the day, as they took on top of the table Harborough Town 2012.

The league leaders took the lead after 15 minutes. A cross from the left by number 10 reached number 11 in the box who took a touich before firing into the roof of the net.

The lead was doubled on the half hour mark as number 10's shot from the edge of the area was deflected in off Glenfield's number four.

Five minutes after the break, Harborough's number 16 made it 3-0 with a header from a corner. With 20 minutes left the score was complete as a cross from the left hit number six's shin and trickled over the line to make the final score 4-0.

Harborough remain top and are five points clear of second place, while Glenfield are in fourth place with 11 points from their first six games. Their next game is away to eight placed Ibstock United Youth on Sunday.

Finally, congratulations to Glenfield United Under 11s 9v9, who got their first points of the season with a 2-2 draw at Loughborough Dynamo 2004. In fact, Loughborough Dynamo proved a happy hunting ground this weekend, as Glenfield United 2005 U14s beat their Dynamo counterparts 2-1. Those three points leave them seventh in the table with six points from five games.

Glenfield United results: Loughborough Dynamo 2004 U11 9v9 2-2 Glenfield United U11 9v9; Glenfield United U12 9v9 0-2 Coalville Town U12 9v9; Glenfield United U14 1-2 Harborough Town JFC U14; Loughborough Dynamo JFC U14 1-2 Glenfield United 2005 U14; Glenfield United 2010 U14 0-4 Harborough Town 2012 U14s; Wigston United FC U18 6-0 Glenfield United U18.

Leicester City v Crystal Palace - Match Preview

Leicester City face a tough test to maintain their lead at the top of the nPower Championship as they host fourth placed Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

The Eagles are without a manager after Dougie Freedman left to join Bolton in midweek, and their first game without the Scotsman saw them draw 1-1 at Barnsley.

City, also looking to continue their 100% home record, hope to have David Nugent and Richie De Laet available. Top goalscorer Nugent went off with an Achilles problem in the win against Brighton in midweek, while right back De Laet suffered from chest pains.

The only guarenteed absentee is defender Sean St Ledger with a hamstring injury, so Zak Whitbread is set to continue in defence. Jamie Vardy could come back into the side to replace striker Martyn Waghorn.

Palace welcome back Dean Moxey and Wilfried Zaha after they both served a one match ban for picking up five yellow cards.

Jonathan Williams is in contention to start after being rested for the midweek trip to Yorkshire, while left back Jonathan Parr could keep his place at left back.

However, former Leicester captain Paddy McCarthy won't feature as he continues to recover from a groin injury which has kept him out all season.

Leicester City assistant manager Craig Shakespeare: "Performances and where we are in the table suggests we're doing something right and the players have to take credit for that.

"As they have been over the last few years, I would expect Crystal Palace to be hard to beat, hard to break down and with a threat in Glenn Murray in terms of his goal-scoring record. It will be a difficult game for us.

"If you pick one player out, you’d have to pick Zaha out at the moment with the way he is playing"

Crystal Palace defender Peter Ramage: "We fear nobody in this league and results have shown throughout the season that anybody can beat anybody.

"We go to Leicester full of confidence, go and do what we do best, and hopefully we can get a positive result."

Match odds: Leicester (1/2) Draw (3/1) Crystal Palace (6/1)

Leicester to win 2-1 (7/1) 0-0 Draw (14/1) Crystal Palace to win 1-0 (14/1)

Ben Marshall to score first (8/1) Glenn Murray to score first 7/1)

Glenfield United Weekly Review - 21/10/2012

Just four Glenfield United teams were in action this weekend, but there were still plenty of good football on offering and also plenty of goals.

The first game of the day saw Glenfield United Under 11s looking for their first points of the season as they took on Beaumont Town at Ellis Park.

United got off to the perfect start, taking the lead after six minutes. The first corner of the game fell to Tom Cunningham at the back post who shot into the bottom corner.

Beaumont, who had only lost one game all season prior to this weekend, were pushing for an equaliser for much of the first half. But Glenfield 'keeper Louis Taylor was equal to everyhing, coming off his line on numerous occasions to pull off some great saves and keep United's lead intact.

15 minutes into the second half, Glenfield had the perfect chance to double their lead as they were awarded a penalty. It was 'keeper Taylor who was picked to take it. After a long walk from the other end of the pitch, he struck the penalty straight down the middle but it was saved by his Beaumont counterpart.

The hosts were punished three minutes later as Beaumont equalised. An initial shot was parried away, only for number 4 to follow up and score.

The game could've gone either way in the last 15 minutes, but sadly it went to the visitors. A Beaumont corner was cleared, but only as far as number 5 who fired in on the volley into the bottom corner.

Glenfield kept pushing for a deserved equaliser, but sadly it wasn't to be. It was a harsh result on United as their performance warranted at least a point. But on this display, their first points of the season are just around the corner.

Glenfield United Lions Under 9's were the second team in home action this weekend, as they took on Netherhall Diamonds at Gynsill Lane.

United got off to a blistering start, scoring three goals in ten minutes. The deadlock was broken when the Diamonds 'keeper misjudged a long pass, allowing striker Harry Laundon to tap in.

It was 2-0 when strike partner Kalon Taylor received a superb through ball and beat the 'keeper with a fine finish.

The duo then combined for the third goal. Taylor's rasping shot from the edge of the area was superbly saved, but following up was Laundon for another tap in.

Netherhall came out all guns blazing for the second half as they turned the game upside down in ten minutes.

Number 7 grabbed a goal back as he followed up a shot that was parried into the bottom left corner, before number 11 scored with a half volley.

It was 3-3 when number 8 scored from a freekick which wasn't fully cleared, before number 11 grabbed his second of the game to put the Diamonds in the lead for the first time in the game.

That wasn't the case for long though, as Glenfield responded with a fourth goal. Another fine through ball was seized upon by Taylor who shot under the keeper into the bottom corner.

With five minutes left, the game was finely in the balance. The final goal of the game went to Netherall as number 5 scored from inside the area.

Again, it was a harsh scoreline for Glenfield as they also deserved to take something from the game. But they can take positives from the game, including that they more than matched their opponents who have now won all four of their league games and top the table. The result leaves Glenfield Lions Under 9's fifth in the table with four points from four games.

The final game of the day saw Glenfield United Under 18's take on Anstey Swifts in the league cup quarter final.

Anstey took the lead after ten minutes as defender number five headed home unmarked at the back post from a freekick.

United responded well though, and got a deserved equaliser after 20 minutes. A freekick from Jake Moseley was headed in at the back post from midfielder Adam Law.

It looked like both teams would be ending the first half all square, but Anstey retook the lead moments before half time. Number nine broke the offside trap before baring down on goal and then squaring the ball to number ten for a simple tap in.

The second half began with Glenfield still pushing for an equaliser which would take the game into extra time, but it was the visitors who scored the fourth goal of the game which put the game beyond doubt.

A long ball from the Anstey defence was latched onto by their number 10 who rounded the 'keeper and scored into an open goal.

That's how the match finished, meaning the under 18's can now concentrate on league matters after being knocked out of both cups.

Glenfield United results: Glenfield United Lions U9 4-5 Netherhall Diamonds U9, Glenfield United U11 9v9 1-2 Beaumont Town U11 9v9, Harborough Town JFC U14s 6-0 Glenfield United U14s, Glenfield United U18s 1-3 Anstey Swifts U18s.

Leicester City v Brighton & Hove Albion - Match Preview

League leaders Leicester City will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of the Championship as they host Brighton at the King Power Stadium.

Following the 1-1 draw at Birmingham on Saturday, coupled with Cardiff's defeat at Nottingham Forest, the Foxes went top of the second tier for the first time since April 2003. The aim now is to build a lead and stay there.

Of course, it won't be easy and Tuesday's opponents are the perfect example of how things can change quickly in the Championship.

Following five straight wins, Gus Poyet's men were two points clear at the top after seven games. But two points and two goals in the last four games has seen Albion slip to eighth.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson has to decide whether to start with Ben Marshall after the winger came off the bench and scored an 86th minute equaliser.

Jamie Vardy is also in contention to start after recovering from an illness. The ex Fleetwood striker featured for the last 18 minutes and could replace Martyn Waghorn.

Sean St Ledger is the only guarenteed absentee as he recovers from a hamstring injury, so Zak Whitbread is set to continue alongside captain Wes Morgan.

Brighton are expected to be without Will Hoskins (foot) and Vicente (thigh) after they both missed the 1-0 home defeat against Middlesbrough.

Striker Stephen Dobbie is in contention to start after featuring from the bench on Saturday, while Kazenga Lua Lua and Will Buckley are also hoping to start.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson (speaking after the game at Birmingham): "I thought we played exceptionally well again and sometimes things don't go quite your way.

"Our players kept their concentration and were professional.

"We should have had three points but we haven't drawn a game for God knows how long, so a positive is that we haven't lost."

Brighton manager Gus Poyet (speaking after the defeat against Middlesbrough): "It's painful really. Right now we are not scoring. We have the best defence in the Championship yet we can't win.

"It is up to us. It's a team problem in terms of how many chances you create. We only have ourselves to blame for not scoring.

"In our recent home games we have had chances to win easily. If the players were not trying I would be very upset. The only thing you can ask is for them to put the ball in the net."

Match odds:

Leicester (10/11) Draw (12/5) Brighton (11/4)

Leicester to win 2-1 (15/2) 0-0 draw (9/1) Brighton to win 1-0 (17/2)

Time of first goal 31-40 (6/1)

Birmingham City v Leicester City - Match Preview

Leicester City return from the international break looking for their sixth consecutive win as they travel to struggling Birmingham City.

The Foxes, currently second in the nPower Championship, will also be hoping that they can regain top spot in the league after heading the table for only a few hours after their last win against Bristol City.

Should Cardiff drop points at Nottingham Forest, Leicester will go top of the table with a win but it won't be easy as the Blues look to bounce back from two consecutive home defeats against Barnsley and Huddersfield.

Recent new signing Papa Bouba Diop looks set to miss out as paperwork to sort out his visa hasn't gone through, while striker Nikola Zigic is suspended after receiving a red card against Huddersfield.

Chelsea loanee Ben Gordon has recently picked up a knee injury and is a major doubt, while fellow left back David Murphy has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury and is also doubtful.

Defensive options are low for Lee Clark's men as Stephen Carr, Paul Caddis and Pablo Ibanez are all out, but Curtis Davies could return.

The Foxes are definitely without defender Sean St Ledger after a hamstring injury ruled him out for four weeks, so Liam Moore or Zak Whitbreak will take his place.

Striker Jamie Vardy, an ever-present in the league this season, is a doubt as he has an illness and has been unable to train all week.

Paul Gallagher is available after his loan spell at Sheffield United came to an end last week.

Birmingham City boss Lee Clark: "This is a week where we can go and get nine points and get the season up and running and push forward.

"I've got total belief in my players and individuals and total belief in them as a group.

"Our start on Saturday has got to be so much better than in previous games  and we've got to play in Leicester City's half and put them under pressure."

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson: "We’ve got to try to pick up where we left off before the break, which isn’t always easy.

“It’s important for us to go into the game with a positive mind-set, as we have done in every game so far this season. I think one of our main strengths has been that we are a positive team in terms of how we set up and how we go about games.

“We’ll try to do that again, but we’re very aware of the fact that they (Birmingham) have some very good players."

Match Odds: Birmingham City (2/1) Draw (12/5) Leicester City (5/4)

Birmingham to win 2-1 (9/1) 1-1 draw (11/2) Leicester to win 2-0 (9/1)

Darren Ambrose to score first (12/1) David Nugent to score a brace (8/1)

GUFC Weekend Review - 14/10/2012

Nine Glenfield United teams were in action across Leicestershire this weekend, with several teams looking to bounce back from defeat in the County Cup the week before.

One such team were Glenfield United Under 14's 2010, who after two heavy defeats in both cups over the past two weeks, were looking to maintain their unbeaten record in the league as they hosted Beaumont Town FC Under 14's.

United got off to a great start, taking the lead after five minutes. From the first corner of the game, Beaumont failed to clear and as the ball bobbled around in the box, left back Rhys Marshall fired home.

The lead was doubled after 20 minutes, the goal again coming from a corner. Dane Mace curled the ball in and was tapped in from no more than two yards from Sam Leach.

Glenfield looked comfortable for large parts of the first half, but as half time approached, Beaumont began to get a foothold in the game. Their pressure was rewarded with a goal two minutes from the interval as midfielder number 8 scored with a long range strike.

United kept hold of their one goal lead for 20 minutes but Town found an equaliser in impressive fashion. Number 6 whipped in a freekick from 25 yards which stayed low and sneaked in to the bottom corner.

And it looked like that Beaumont would grab all three points as they took the lead for the first time in the game six minutes from time. A goalmouth scramble fell to number 11 who tapped in to the delight of the visiting players and parents watching from the touchline.

However, United deservedly salvaged something from the game with a dramatic equaliser two minutes before the final whistle. A shot from inside the penalty area was parried away by the Beaumont keeper, only to be tapped in at the far post by the advancing Mace.

It showed great character from the players to get a point from the game when they could've easily given up the fight. The 3-3 draw means they remain unbeaten in the league, where they sit in third position from five games.

Glenfield United Tigers Under 9's were looking for their first points of the season as they took on Cosby United Colts Under 9's in the early game at Gynsill Lane.

The game started fairly evenly, with both sides having half chances to take the lead. However, the deadlock was broken by the visitors as they scored two goals in as many minutes.

Firstly, a shot from the edge of the area by Cosby's number three found the bottom corner before number nine ran clear through on goal and shot into the same corner.

United responded well though and scored the goal of the game after 11 minutes. Striker Mason Malon received the ball before shooting into the top left corner and gave the Cosby 'keeper no chance.

The score remained 2-1 until two minutes into the second half, where once again Cosby scored two quickfire goals to put the result beyond doubt.

Number nine fired in a low first time shot right footed into the bottom left corner, before the same player completed his hat-trick  as he held the ball up in the area before turning and firing low into the net.

Despite being three goals down, United's heads didn't go down as they kept creating chances. Two shots went wide before the Cosby 'keeper made a good save at his near post after good passing from Glenfield created the opportunity.

Four minutes from full time, Cosby went on to add another two goals. Number 12 showed good close control before firing low into the net and then number five got on the scoresheet as he finished from a corner.

Glenfield United Under 7's Hawks took on Fleckney Athletic Under 7's in a friendly at Gynsill Lane.

The Hawks took the lead after four minutes. An initial shot was saved by the Fleckney 'keeper, but the ball rebounded off captain Jake Green and into the net.

United kept their lead until ten minutes into the game. Number 10 ran onto a long ball before firing a shot into the roof of the next to equalise.

The visitors then took the lead from the penalty spot, as number eight was brought down. Number 10 converted the spot kick, shooting straight down the middle. Three minutes later, Fleckney made it 3-1 thanks to an own goal.

United cut the deficit back to one goal as Jake Green scored his second. Green took a corner from the left which hit the post. The rebound fell straight back to the striker whose crosee sneaked in at the near post.

The second half saw a goal bonanza for the visitors as they scored seven goals during the next 20 minutes.

Number eight got his first goal of the game as he scored from a tight angle, before number 10 got his hat-trick when he rounded the 'keeper.

Number 10 scored his fourth goal on the half hour mark to make it 6-2, before two minutes later number eight scored his second.

He then scored his hat-trick with a cross that sneaked into the far post before scoring a fourth goal three minutes later.

Number 10 got another to make it 9-2 and number four put the score in double figures with the last kick of the game.

The Hawks have tasted two victories and two defeats so far this season as they continue to develop as young footballers.

Glenfield United Weekly Review - 07/10/12

The first weekend of October heralded County Cup action across Leicestershire, which saw four Glenfield United teams in knockout competition action.

Glenfield United Under 11's 9v9 faced a very difficult game as they took on last seasons Division One champions and current top flight leaders Woodgate 80 at Ellis Park. There was also a familiar face in the visitors line up, with former United player Morgan Enoux starting up front.

It was Enoux who opened the scoring after three minutes, firing in from close range. Woodgate doubled their lead five minutes later as number seven volleyed home direct from a corner.

Number five added a third before Enoux, son of Glenfield United Lions U9 manager Pierrick, made it 4-0 as he rounded the 'keeper. On the stroke of half time, number seven got his second of the game.

Woodgate showed their class throughout the game, passing the ball confidently and always finding space. Number seven Woodgate's right winger, scored his hat-trick as he found the bottom corner before scoring his fourth two minutes later when tapping in from another corner.

Number two then got on the scoresheet, scoring twice in five minutes before number 9 made it 9-0. Woodgate then made it double figures with ten minutes left as number five scored, while number six made it 11-0.

Enoux then brought up his hat-trick by lobbing the Glenfield 'keeper, before number two also scored his third to make it 13-0.

Number seven scored his fourth, before Enoux rounded off the scoring with two minutes left to make it Glenfield United Under 11 9v9 0-15 Woodgate 80.

The silver lining from this cloud is hopefully Glenfield can take some tips from Woodgate's playing style. If they can do that, then success will come at some point down the line.

Also in County Cup action were Glenfield United Under 14's 2010, as they hosted Leicester Bharat, two divisions higher, at Gynsill Lane.

Bharat took the lead after six minutes as number 12 got put through one-on-one and slid the ball past the onrushing Glenfield 'keeper.

Fifteen minutes later and Bharat scored as a second, again through number 12. A cross from the left by number six was met by the striker who turned and shot into the bottom right corner.

United grabbed a goal back five minutes later though. A cross by Dame Mace was headed in from the edge of the six yard box by Sam Leach.

However, Bharat's two goal lead was restored just a few moments later, and it was number 12 again who secured his hat-trick. He beat the offside trap and ran through on goal before poking the ball under the keeper.

Three minutes before half time and the visitors netted a fourth. A shot from number 11 hit the bar but the rebound fell into the path of number 16 who had a simple finish.

A six minute hat-trick from Bharat's number 7 at the start of the second half then ended all hope for Glenfield. Two minutes in, the right winger hit a screamer from the edge of the box, before another long range strike arrowed into the roof of the net. He then bagged his third with a right foot finish from close range.

A diving header from number 16 made it 8-1, before a defensive mix up saw number 12 score his fourth and Bharat's ninth.

Number 11 then added two more to take the score into double figures, making it 11-1, but Glenfield had the final word.

Another cross by Dame Mace was met by Reece Marshall who turned in the area and fired into the corner.

Attention for the under 14's 2010 team now turns to the league, where they still remain unbeaten and in a good position for promotion this season.

The other two teams in County Cup action this weekend were Glenfield United Under 18's, also against Leicester Bharat, and Glenfield United Under 14's, who played at Broughton Villa.

Like the Under 14's 2010 team, the Under 18's were playing Leicester Bharat in the County Cup. They also succumbed to defeat though, losing 2-0. However, the Under 14's restored some cup pride, as they won 4-2 at Broughton Villa.

Glenfield United Tigers Under 8's were also in action, at home to Melton Foxes.

The visitors took the lead after four minutes as number five broke away and shot into the bottom right corner.

Glenfield responded quickly though and equalised three minutes later as George Meadows followed up a shot spilt by the Melton 'keeper and fired into the top corner.

There were no more goals in the first half, but it was a very entertaining first 20 minutes as both sides played good football and looked for a lead.

It was Melton who took that lead four minutes into the second half through an own goal, before three minutes later they made it 3-1 as number five scored thanks to the right hand post.

Ten minutes from time Melton made it 4-1 as number ten scored a one-on-one, while number five got his hat-trick when he tapped home a rebounded shot from his number seven team mate.

So not a good day results wise for Glenfield United, but at least the weather was nice!

Glenfield United results: Glenfield United Tigers U8 L-W Melton Foxes U8, Riverside United Kestrels U9 9-0 Glenfield United Tigers U9, Glenfield United U11 9v9 0-15 Woodgate 80, Kingsway Rangers U12 9v9 1-1 Glenfield United U12 9v9, Broughton Villa U14 2-4 Glenfield United U14, Glenfield United U14 2010 2-11 Leicester Bharat U14, Leicester Bharat U18 2-0 Glenfield United U18

Glenfield United Weekly Review - 30/09/2012

Eight Glenfield United teams were in action this weekend, including our three under 14 teams who were all in league cup action.

There are two different league cups at under 14 level; the ABC trophy, consisting of teams in the top three divisions A,B and C, and the DEFG shield, with teams from the bottom four divisions entering.

Division A Glenfield United under 14’s welcomed C division Quorn to Gynsill Lane in the under 14 ABC trophy. United got off to a great start, taking the lead after two minutes thanks to a 25 yard strike from midfielder Harry Martin.

United spent most of the first half looking for a second goal, but just like London buses, two goals came in quick succession at the start of the second half.

From the Quorn kick off to begin the second half, United striker Shivang Odedra stole the ball and passed to strike partner Charlie Royle who found the bottom corner.

The same duo combined for the third goal two minutes later. Odedra ran down the wing and passed to Royle who finished superbly, firing in off the right hand post.

By now the game was beyond doubt and United were marching into the next round of the cup. A fourth goal was added with 15 minutes left when a corner from Royle was diverted in by a Quorn defender for an own goal.

Quorn grabbed a consolation two minutes from time as substitute number 16 fired in from 20 yards.

In the DEFG shield, Glenfield United 2005 came up against Khalsa for the second time in as many weeks, looking to get revenge for last weekend’s 6-3 defeat in the league. They did so, winning 5-3 at Judgemeadow CC.

However, Glenfield United 2010, who won 16-1 against Karma FC last weekend, were knocked out of the shield, losing 12-0 to Saffron Dynamo Juniors U14, a team three divisions higher.

Glenfield United Under 7 Foxes were also in home action this weekend as they hosted nearby Ratby Pumas. The visitors scored twice in the first half, firstly taking the lead with a six yard shot, then adding a second with a good finish from the Ratby striker into the bottom right corner.

United grabbed a goal back at the beginning of the second half, as Josh Williamson shot into the roof of the net following a goalmouth scramble.

The Pumas restored their two goal lead with a shot from the edge of the area, before a fourth was added with the final kick of the game.

The Under 7 Foxes have won once and lost once this season.

From the youngest to the eldest, and Glenfield United Under 18’s played Leicester Bharat. Notably, this is the third time already this season that both sides have come up against each other. Bharat won a pre-season friendly 5-4, while United got revenge by winning a league cup game 2-0.

United had the perfect opportunity to take the lead when they won a penalty after six minutes. The Bharat ‘keeper had brought down striker Will Mayne, but he made up for it by saving Jake Moseley’s penalty.

The penalty miss didn’t affect Glenfield though as they took the lead ten minutes later. A freekick from Moseley was spilt by the Bharat ‘keeper and Mayne was following up like all good strikers should to tap home.

The lead was doubled five minutes later. Kyle Gough beat the offside trap but saw his shot parried. However, winger Jacob Parkes was in the right place at the right time to have a simple finish.

Glenfield looked comfortable throughout the first half. However, a goal from Bharat’s number 10 striker five minutes into the second half saw them gain confidence that they could salvage something from the game.

And on the hour mark, Bharat levelled the score. Number eight cut in from the right wing and saw his shot creep into the near post.

Bharat weren’t finished their either as number ten completed the turnaround. He held the ball up superbly before turning his marker and shooting from an acute angle into the far corner. It was a fine finish from the striker who has caused Glenfield a lot of problems in the three previous meetings.

United had 15 minutes to grab something from the jaws of defeat, and they left it very late. A long throw from skipper Charlie Collins was flicked on to the far post, and following a goalmouth scramble, the ball was poked home again by Parkes.

The Under 18’s have now played five games this season, drawing three and losing twice. They lie 8th in the MDH Teamwear Leicestershire Youth League Under 18’s table.

Glenfield United results: Glenfield United Under 7’s L-W Ratby Pumas Under 7’s, Glenfield United Under 7’s D-D Desford Blues Under 7’s, Oadby Owls Eagles Under 10’s 3-0 Glenfield United Tigers U10’s, Glenfield United Under 11’s 9v9 3-6 Wigston United Under 11’s 9v9, Glenfield United Under 14’s 4-1 Quorn Juniors Under 14’s, FC Khalsa Under 14’s 3-5 Glenfield United 2005 Under 14’s, Saffron Dynamo Juniors Under 14’s 12-0 Glenfield United 2010 Under 14’s, Glenfield United Under 18’s 3-3 Leicester Bharat Under 18’s.
